There's not a lot here yet, but this is my Amateur Radio section.

I have been a licensed amateur since October 1979, originally licensed as KA2GZT, operating mostly on two meters (with an occasional foray onto the low bands).

There's also a Radio Shack something or other that I use in my car sometimes with a mag-mount antenna.

The Low Bands

Basically, it's just an ICOM IC-706 MK II G with an LDG Z-100 tuner: works fine.

There's also an MFJ Versa-Tuner II since the late 1970s. A little odd to tune but very reliable and, well, versatile.

There used to be a lot more stuff lying around. My first radios were 2-meter a.m. sets, a Heathkit lunchbox and a Clegg-22er. Obviously they are long gone. There were also various Heathkit monobanders, various receivers, and various mobile set-ups, but now I'm more of a minimalist kind of guy.

Here are a few references that I have made for classes and other study groups:

Here are some links that I have found useful, interesting, or just curious, not all ham radio related.

That's what's what so far!
